RFIs Log                                                                                                               

This page lists the RFIs that are logged in the current Project Center project. Select the subject of an RFI to view its details. External and internal (Project Center) users see the same information unless otherwise noted.

To only see RFI actions assigned to you, select the My RFI Actions log.

RFI categories

Use the RFIs drop-down list to filter the list of RFIs by category. The categories are as follows:

All My Actions

This category lists all RFIs assigned to the current user.

My Open Actions

This category lists all RFIs assigned to the current user with an open status.

My Pending Actions

This category lists all RFIs assigned to the current user with a pending status.

My Completed Actions

This category lists all RFIs assigned to the current user with a completed status.

 

Categories available to Project Center users

In addition to the categories listed above, Project Center users (internal users) can see the following:

All

Displays all RFIs that have been logged for this project.

Pending Incoming

Displays RFIs that were sent via Info Exchange that need to be received in Project Center. When an RFI or RFI response is logged on Info Exchange, it will appear in this category.

Open

Displays all open RFIs.

Awaiting Action

Displays RFIs that have been received, but they:

        Have not been assigned, or

        Have been assigned and all answers have been received, but there has been no response sent to the RFI author.

Awaiting Response

Displays RFIs that have been sent out with a due date for another contact to review that you have not received back yet.

Response Overdue

Displays RFIs that have been assigned with a due back date, but the answers are overdue.

Overdue

Displays all project RFIs that have not had a response sent to the RFI author by the due date (the due date was filled in when the RFI was entered).

All Closed

Displays RFIs that have had a response sent to the RFI author and there is no further action required.

 

Columns

Overdue

The icon displays to the left of RFIs that are overdue. The    icon displays to the left of RFIs that are due in 8 days or less.

ID

The ID number of the RFI.

Sender ID

The number the contractor gave to the RFI.

Subject

The subject of the RFI. Select to open the RFI page to view its details.

Status

The current status of the RFI.

Total Days

The number of days the RFI has been in an open status. The count starts from the start date, which is either when the item was created or the received date and ends either now or when it was closed if a closed date was entered. If it is re-opened, it displays the count from when the RFI was created. It is based on calendar days (not business days) and does not consider holidays in its calculations.

Received

The date the recipient received the RFI. The field also displays the RFI purpose and who sent the RFI.

Forwarded

The date the RFI was forwarded. The field also displays the purpose for which the RFI was forwarded.

Response

If an RFI has been forwarded to you, select Respond to open the Send RFI Response page. If a response has already been logged, then the date of the RFI response, the action taken for the RFI and the name of the user who sent the response are displayed.

Closed

The date the RFI was closed. The field also displays the action taken for the RFI and the name of the user who closed the RFI.

Supporting Documents

Displays the number of supporting documents associated with the item. Internal users can access all supporting documents. External users can only access supporting documents that have been shared with external users.

There are two possible icons that may appear in the field:

Select to view the list of files attached as supporting documents. Select the link for a file to view it in the Newforma Web Viewer. If the filename is not a hyperlink, select the icon to open or save the file locally.

Upload Supporting Documents

Use this area to add supporting documents to the item.

This option is only available for internal (Project Center) users.

Add Files

Select to open the Choose File to Upload dialog box and select a file.

You can select multiple files using standard Windows Shift and Ctrl selection techniques.

Remove All Files

Select to remove all files selected for upload.

Drag-and-Drop Files Here

Drag and drop files directly from Windows to add them to the list of files to upload.

This option is only available if your browser supports the functionality.

Upload

Select to upload the files to the Supporting Documents field.

 188-expired.pngRequest Expired Files

Select the image to send a request to the owner to repost the files. This occurs when the transfer item has expired.

Related Items

Displays icons for any project items related to the selected item. Click in the column to access the Related Items popup window, shown below. Select the hyperlink for a related item to view its details.

 

Log Page Tools

The following tools are available in the RFIs log toolbar. For more information, refer to Log Page Tools.

Send RFI

Select to open the Send RFI page to add a new RFI.

External users must be part of a permission set that grants access to create RFIs.  

Export

Select to export the items in this log.

Show/Hide Column Filters

Select  to toggle on/off the column filters.

Show/Hide Group By Panel

Select  to toggle on/off the group by panel.

Show/Hide Columns

Select  to access Drag to Change Columns to add or remove columns from the log grid.

 

To access this page

From the toolbar, select View > Contract Management > RFIs.
