Use this dialog box to view and edit the details of an existing action item.
The subject of the action item. You can edit it.
Select the action item's status from the drop-down list.
You can create and edit action item statuses using the Global Action Item Status List in the Global Project Settings tab of the Project Center Administration Activity Center.
Select the action item's priority from the drop-down list.
Click to open the Choose Disciplines dialog box to select disciplines for the action item.
Click to open the Choose Project Team Members dialog box to select the project team members to assign the action item to (you can also type email addresses directly in this field).
Click to open the Choose Project Team Members dialog box to select contacts to send an email notification message to regarding this action item. Each time the action item is edited, these contacts will be sent a notification.
Enter an ID number for the action item.
To enter a due date for the action item, mark the checkbox in the Due Date field, then select a date. You can also send a daily reminder.
Mark the checkbox to add this item to the email notification message sent out by Project Center reminding the Assigned to and Assigned by contacts that the action item is still open. Select the number of business days before a response is due, which appears in the email message and in the Open Items tab of the My Project Center activity center.
Reminders can be sent to both internal and external project team members. The frequency at which reminders are sent is set in the General tab of the Project Center Administration activity center Servers tab. Reminders can disabled per project in the Edit Project Settings dialog box.
Remind is not available if the option is disabled for the project or in the Project Center Administration activity center.
Click to open the Choose a Project Team Member dialog box to select who assigned the action item.
Refer to the Identify an Action Item dialog box for a description of the tabs.
Click to open the Choose Keywords dialog box to select keywords to apply to the action item.
Mark this checkbox to open an email message in Microsoft Outlook to notify the action item's contacts (and to add and send it to other contacts) that an action item was created.
Click to spell check the fields in this window. If any mistakes are found, the Spelling Check dialog box opens with spelling suggestions.
Click to save any changes to the action item.
You can access this dialog box in the following ways:
Double-click an action item from the Action Items activity center, or select an action item and click Modify from the Tasks panel.
From Microsoft Outlook, select an Outlook item that is linked to an action item, then click Action Item Actions, Edit from the Project Center Add-in for Microsoft Outlook Toolbar.
