Create Project dialog box

Use this dialog box to choose how to create a new Project Center project.

By Manually Entering Project Information

Choose this option to open the Create Project dialog box to create a new project by manually entering all of the information.

By Importing a Template Definition

If you are creating a new project with data supplied in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet template, choose this option to open the Import from Spreadsheet Template dialog box to locate and select the Microsoft Excel project template spreadsheet to import. Refer to the following example template: Project Template.xlsx, which is located in C:\Program Files\Newforma\2022 Edition\Project Center\Templates. You can add any remaining blank fields later.

From the Selected Template in the List

Choose this option to create a project based on one of the existing project templates in the Templates section. The Create Project dialog box will then open, pre-populated with all of the settings from the selected template.

Templates

If you chose the From the Selected Template in the List option, select the template to use as the basis for the new project.

 

To access this dialog box

You can access this dialog box in the following ways:

        Click Create > Create Project from the Tasks panel of the Project Center Administration activity center Projects tab.

        Click Create Project from the Tasks panel of the My Project Center activity center.
