Add Folder dialog box

Use this dialog box to add the contents of the selected  folder to the current document set. You can add and remove files, and filter the folder contents.

1   Only the files in the selected folder are added to the set. If the folder has subfolders, files in the subfolders are not added to the set. You must add each subfolder separately.

Selected Folder

The full path to the selected folder. Click the button to open the Select Folder dialog box to choose a different folder.

Include Files

Any files typed in this field will be the only files that are included in the set.

  • You can enter a specific file name, for example 0408A24.dwg, or you can use wildcards:

    • Use an asterisk (*) anywhere in the string to replace one or more characters. For example,  m* includes all files that start with m; m*.dwg includes all files that start with m and end with dwg; *.dwg includes all files ending in dwg.

    • Use a question mark (?) anywhere in the string to replace a single character. For example, m?.dwg would include all files that start with m followed by one character and end in .dwg.

    • Use quotes (") to keep spaces in phrases. For example, "*COR *.dwg" would include all files that start with any text, followed by COR, a space, more text, and end in .dwg.

    • You can enter multiple items by separating them with a space.

Exclude Files

Any files typed in this field will not be included in the set. Refer to the examples in Include Files above for more information.

Apply Include and Exclude Filters

Mark this checkbox to apply the include and exclude filters to the list.

 

To access this dialog box

Select a folder, then click OK from the Select Folder dialog box.
