Create a Project Activity Summary Tab for Deltek Vision

You can have custom project activity summary tabs added to the Project Activity Summary section of the My Project Center activity center to display information from Deltek Vision such as invoices and project review information.  By specifying the layout for the tab in InfoPath and providing a SQL query to get the information from Deltek Vision, Project Center can display the information on the tab. For sensitive financial data, use SQL Server's integrated security so that only users who have permission to access the data are able to view the information on the tab.  An example of a custom project activity summary tab is shown here:

The custom activity summary integration services provided by Newforma include the following:

• Reviewing requirements for the custom activity summary contents;

• Creating the InfoPath form;

• Defining the SQL query;

• Testing the SQL queries and information layout.

Benefits

Users can access all project information in one application. Using custom activity summaries, project managers can obtain the financial information they need without taking additional time logging into Deltek Vision and navigating to the information.  Project Center users can access the information along with all other project information.
