Change the Scan Mode for a Scope dialog box

Use this dialog box to change the way the Project Center indexing service responds to files that are new, modified, or missing. Choose one of the following from the Select the Scan Mode for drop-down list:

• Choose NoScan to make no updates to the index when changes are made to the file system. The index will remain static once the indexing is completed until this value is changed.

• Choose Additive to update the index for all added or modified files, but not deleted files.  

• Choose Full to update the index for all changes to the file system (whenever files are added, deleted, or modified).

To access this dialog box

Select a scope, then click Change Scan Mode from the Scopes tab of the Project Center Administration activity center Indexing tab.
