Log a Submittal dialog box

Use this dialog box to choose whether to file a new submittal or log an existing expected submittal that was received.

Log a Received Submittal

Choose this option to open the Log a Received Submittal dialog box to file a new submittal.

Schedule an Expected Submittal

Choose this option to open the Create Submittal dialog box to file a submittal that you are expecting to receive.

Select from a List of Expected Submittals

When you receive a submittal you previously filed as expected, choose this option, then select the expected submittal from the list of expected submittals.

Add as Supporting Documents to an Existing Submittal

Choose this option to add the transferred files as supporting documents to an existing submittal, then select the submittal to add the files to.

The choices above change depending on where you accessed this dialog box from. All choices are listed, but not all are available from each access point, as indicated at the bottom.

Filter All Columns

You can filter by any text that appears in any of the columns. For example, if you know the subject (or part of the subject) of the submittal that you are searching for (or the ID, status, date, etc.), enter at least part of the text in this field. The submittals list updates automatically as you type. For example, if the submittal you are searching for has the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns, enter 30 in this field. The list will be narrowed down to only submittals that have the number 30 somewhere in one of the columns.

Submittals

This list is available when you choose the Select from a List of Expected Submittals or the Add as Supporting Documents to an Existing Submittal options above. Choose the expected submittal you received to file it.

Refer to the Submittals activity center topic for a description of the columns.

Click to open the dialog box corresponding to the choice made above to file the submittal.
