View the Project Timeline in Microsoft Outlook

To add the project timeline to Microsoft Outlook

1.     If you are not already there, open the Project Timeline activity center by clicking Project Timeline from the Project Home activity center or from the Activities list.

2.     Do one of the following:

  • If the current project timeline has not been posted to Info Exchange, click Timeline Utilities > Export to Outlook Calendar to export the current project timeline to a new calendar and open it Microsoft Outlook. (This task will not be available if the project timeline has been posted to Info Exchange.)

  • If the current project timeline has been posted to Info Exchange, click Timeline Utilities > Add to Microsoft Outlook and Subscribe to Updates to create a new calendar in Microsoft Outlook containing timeline information from the current project. Project Center automatically updates the information on Info Exchange, and Microsoft Outlook retrieves it every hour. (This task will not be available if the project timeline has not been posted to Info Exchange.)

To post the timeline to Info Exchange, a Project Center administrator must configure the settings in the Info Exchange tab of the Edit Project Settings dialog box.
